Materials Used

Porcelain veneers are crafted from high quality dental grade porcelain that affixes to the front facing surfaces of teeth to correct and conceal dental flaws, creating a gorgeous smile. There are two main types of porcelain used to create these flawless restorations. Feldspathic veneers are laminate based. They are crafted by layering glass and liquid silicon dioxide materials. These are crafted by certain dentists in the dental practices, and less often, dental labs can create these veneers. Glass-based ceramics are much more popular because they are thicker and resistant to erosion and damage. This is the type of veneer used most often, and they are typically crafted in dental labs.

Porcelain Veneers Placement

The porcelain veneer placement process is completed over the course of two appointments. During the initial dental appointment, we prepare the teeth. This allows the veneer to lay flat within the natural smile line. Then, we capture impressions of these prepared teeth. We use the impressions to design your custom veneer, and we send the design and bite impressions to our dental lab where they will create your final, flawless veneer. Before you leave the initial appointment, we’ll place temporary veneers to protect your teeth and let you get used to the look of your new smile. Once we receive the veneers from the lab, you’ll return for a second appointment. We simply remove your temporary and place your custom porcelain veneer, leaving you with a flawless smile.

Who Should Consider Veneers?
